Color block your wardrobe like a pro. Adding color to your wardrobe might seem intimidating at first, but it doesn’t have to be. I have a thing for color blocking my outfits. Personally, I love experimenting with different colors and print, so if you’re wardrobe consists of only neutrals and whites, this will definitely be taking you out of your comfort zone, well at least for now till you get the hang of it.

I found this rustic orange brown jacket at a recent sale in Mango and I fell in love with it’s rouched sleeves. Instead of using prints, I decided to opt for more complimentary tones such as a khaki green and a plain navy blue camisole. Everything else was kept fairly neutral with nude pegged pants and beige ballerina pumps. Color blocking your outfit is easy if you focus it in certain areas.

Keep accessories at a bare minimum as it stops overcrowding the entire look. I wanted my accessories to compliment my hijab so I picked up my favorite bangle from House of Harlow and a jade green vintage ring I found at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

Start off with colors that you’re comfortable with and add in colors within the same family and hey, if you want to be a tad daring, try a color that’s completely the opposite. You might surprise yourself on how good it may look !

How often do you incorporate color into your wardrobe ? Have you had more hits than misses ? I’d love to hear all about it.
